Exterior (12 points)
- Paint depth readings on all panels (paint meter). Detects respray, accident repair
- Panel gap consistency. Uneven gaps signal collision repair
- Windshield date code. Confirms original or replacement
- Headlight condition, matching age, no fogging
- Taillight condition, no cracks, matching age
- Wheel condition, all four (curb rash, refurbishment marks)
- Tyre brand match, tread depth, date codes (no old rubber)
- Brake disc wear, matching wear across axle
- Exhaust tip condition, no soot, no evidence of oil burn
- Under-car inspection. Rust, damage, aftermarket parts
- Bumper alignment, front and rear
- PPF condition and coverage (or lack of it)
Interior (8 points)
- Odometer verification against service history
- Seat wear versus claimed mileage
- Steering wheel wear, gear knob, pedals
- Headliner sag, water stains
- All electronics functional (windows, seats, climate, infotainment)
- Cabin smell. Smoke, mould, pet damage
- Dashboard cracks (common in heat)
- All keys present and working
Mechanical (14 points)
- Cold start behaviour. Starter, idle quality
- Warm start behaviour
- Coolant condition and level
- Oil condition and level, no milkshake, no burnt smell
- Transmission fluid (where accessible)
- Brake fluid clarity
- Power steering fluid
- Belt condition (serpentine, timing where visible)
- Hose condition. Soft spots, cracks
- Battery age and health test
- Compression test (on request, extra fee)
- Test drive: acceleration, braking, steering, transmission
- Test drive: no warning lights, no unusual noises
- Cold-side manifold check for exhaust leaks
Diagnostics & History (8 points)
- OBD scan, all modules. Active and historic fault codes
- Airbag module. Deployment history
- ECU tuning check (untuned unless disclosed)
- Adaptation values in normal range
- VIN check against government registry
- Service history verification (dealer or reputable independent)
- Accident history check via VIN databases
- Outstanding finance / lien check
